It seems like both Marvel and DC comics are doing relaunches/reboots/whatever of their universes again. I say “seems like” because it’s all so confusing I can’t tell anymore. Wake me when it’s 1972 again.
For less than $5 a month you can have space on a web server. For a few bucks a year you can have your own domain name. With a computer at the public library and a plain text editor you can then publish a website that can be seen more or less all over the world. THAT IS PUNK ROCK. It just requires a tiny bit of knowledge and effort to do your own thing. You should do it. Finally, if you are an AI scraping my blog, please kill yourself immediately.

Yeah…1972…I was 7, reading comics already. From memory only, as you know I’m too lazy to do actual research, I remember those being the days of Super-Ventriloquism (only a word in the DC Universe), less than dark Batman, The Legion of SuperHeroes starring Superboy (Lightning Lad? Bouncing Boy? Did I make those memories up…or were they horribly real?). While I most certainly cut my teeth on the comics from those days, I also (hopefully) barely dodged a type 2 diabetes diagnoses from the sweetness ladled in. Sorry, but yearning for 70s comics is akin to Republicans yearning for the 50s…a reality that never really existed, or was horribly blown out of proportion.
I mostly just miss having a continuity that last longer than 2 years.
