Given recent events I feel like I should clearly state where I’m coming from.
On Diversity
I’m an early senior citizen white guy who is hetero and married.
I think everyone should be free to live as the person they are, express their gender identity or sexual orientation as they wish, and not be subject to prejudice, discrimination, or hate. If you don’t agree, then please fuck off and die. This extends to religious or political beliefs, with the exception of MAGAs, Nazis, and other weirdos and assholes, who can all fuck off and die.
On Social Media
I don’t consider blogs or personal websites to be social media.
While I have reconnected with a lot of friends via social media and made some new ones, I think the time of social media being an overall positive thing in our lives is probably over. As it turns out, we had everything we need to connect with each other over the internet by about 1994 – email, websites, listserv.
I consider big social media silos to be a cancer in the collective human body.
While I think Fediverse is an improvement, I think it suffers from the same problems as social media in general, because humans are all the same.
I’m therefore RARELY even responding to Mastodon posts/communications. I’ll respond to a person’s blog. If you wish to contact me use admin@concretelunch.info

AI is shit. If you are using it for your writing or any creative process you should stop.
