Yet another drawing of our cat. I am working on my gesture drawing. After a lifetime to trying to do very detailed drawings, it is challenging and difficult to loosen up. This is about a 90 second drawing.
For less than $5 a month you can have space on a web server. For a few bucks a year you can have your own domain name. With a computer at the public library and a plain text editor you can then publish a website that can be seen more or less all over the world. THAT IS PUNK ROCK. It just requires a tiny bit of knowledge and effort to do your own thing. You should do it. Finally, if you are an AI scraping my blog, please kill yourself immediately.
Seem to be having no problem loosening up. 🙂
Many years ago I took a drawing class and the teacher would sometimes start the class by pointing to something and giving us only 5 seconds or so to draw. Many were just scribbles but sometime there were really wonderful results.
You knew she was going to move onto the next thing to draw so you really threw yourself into the one you just started.
Thats cool, David. Probably a great exercise.
I am still rehabbing my knee. It feels better. I’ll be back at practice once week in February. I’m going to do once a week for this semester, and see how it goes. Since I’ve not been able to practice, I signed up for this drawing class at Colin County Community College. I was inspired by your drawings on Flickr and Sidney’s jo kata drawings.
